BUENA PARK, Calif. - The City of Buena Park Cultural and Fine Arts Division proudly presents
the 41st Annual Elementary Art Show in Buena Park City Hall Council Chamber, 6650 Beach Blvd.,
Buena Park, 90621.

THEME: This year’s theme is “YES I CAN!” Students are encouraged to paint, draw or collage a picture that tells the viewer about a recent accomplishment. Scoring the winning goal, getting a prize at the science fair, learning to ride a bike, getting along with a sibling, helping someone in need—no achievement is too big or too small!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Open to kindergarten through sixth grade students who attend accredited public or private schools in Buena Park or surrounding areas. Entries MUST be submitted through the student’s school. Not open to after school art programs or private instruction classes.

Ink, pencil, marker, charcoal, chalk, crayon, watercolors, acrylic, and oil pastels will be accepted.

Artwork on paper must be matted and/or be mounted on mat board or construction paper. Work that is not matted or mounted will not be accepted. All artwork must be ready to hang. No glass, framed, or 3-dimensional artwork will be accepted. Students are allowed to enter a maximum of three submissions, but may only place with one entry.

All artwork must have a half sheet of paper attached to the back lower hand corner with the student’s name, title of work, grade, school, parent’s name and email, and teacher’s name and email.

The last day to submit art is Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

Artwork will be on display at Buena Park City Hall March 28 – April 28, 2017

Please deliver art to the Buena Park Community Center, 6688 Beach Blvd. (at Pinchot Ct., between Beach Blvd. and Stanton Ave., behind Buena Park City Hall).
